NATURA SERIES

This series is Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy's natural art installations and the idea of reorganizing nature using contrasting human concepts of beauty.

After getting our hands messy with paint, we found ourselves being inspired by the change of seasons in Portland, a brilliant unattainable spectrum of orange maple leaves, bright yellow birch, and stout greens holding out against the fall, and all the colors in between.
This lead is to re exploring Andy Goldsworthy's work, and inspiring naturalist that created temporary pieces in isolated natural environments using only gathered supplies and resources. The work survives through his series of photographs and process documents, sketches, and later, deterioration of the works in their wild spaces.

"Andy Goldsworthy is an extraordinary, innovative British artist whose collaborations with nature produce uniquely personal and intense artworks. Using a seemingly endless range of natural materials—snow, ice, leaves, bark, rock, clay, stones, feathers petals, twigs—he creates outdoor sculpture that manifests, however fleeting, a sympathetic contact with the natural world. Before they disappear, or as they disappear, Goldsworthy, records his work in superb colour photographs."
